No Exit Strategy
Does it ever ease up?
I think these are true questions,
not like zen commercials.
We can't afford to be
alone, anymore
yellow friend.
I know you would rescue me
from the sands in lower plains,
but what can you do
about the human losses?
So much has spoiled
in my vision—
The failure now seems inherent.
At least I am a cartographer
of this heart.
These maps are as accurate
as I can make them.
I will hang one on the wall
beside your picture.
I will write you these notes.
I miss you my friend.
