the centuries, part 1

the cheese stands alone
stinking in his poverty
millions of his minutes
taken by the aristocrats

the choir sings on fox
with a secret rage for
teenage girls and boys
glenn opens his box of

whoopass allowing the freaks
in egypt no chance of their
own choices only what's in
the air of repose that last
book of the new testament

where the conspircy theories
were first codified for the
entertainment of the masses
the original big budget movie
called apocalypse now

we've played this tune so many
years now the leaves falling
every october in the face of
someone's specific fear

is there a way out of this deck
can the cheese make a stand, alone
in the cyber farmyard having watched
his family destroyed by greed at
the top

the freaks walk through town
armed and dangerous clowns of stupidity
their children acting out in some hazy
understanding of what happened

in the towers of world commerce
they play chess for the big bucks and
the very expensive fucks leaving their
excrement as a special reward for those
to come

in the end I find myself
no better than nostradamus
cheesy in these unregarded
musings overlooked and diffident

channel catfish on the line
an anagram of the nation
careful not to step on any
cracks

Well thought. The rape of this country's econ by the right wing nobility and the acceptance of it with glee by the red-neck right is so wrong. How the tea baggers and money baggers ever made a marriage, I will never understand. Don't the many unwashed and unthinking at least know when they feel the prong force open their collective sphincter? Jamey
