Grandpa Manson's Grey Hair
he's 77 now, clearly not far from that final fall
from grace all bushy greyhaired pathetic
with his swastika scar on his forehead
lending his life what little meaning it had
and sadie mae glutz, she finally died in prison
having recanted each and everything she could
think of and still distrusted by the Tates
why should we let her out?
and why shouldn't the Tates have their revenge
on these folks even poor Leslie Van Houten
talk about your huge mistake. It's not
really fair, but when you are swept up
in the electric power of taking actual breath
and leaving traces of a narrative that never
once existed you see the children running
in the desert naked and burnt from the sun
Daddy has brought them to this false hope
a life free from the rules an outlaws dream
this is the real american experience
the racist center of even the so called hip
and charlie he said that women have
no souls, (are they) vacant shells
so where's susan atkins now;
poor dissolute loser not much left
in the crypt and without a soul not
even a tender thought crossing Charlie's
long gone Daddy dick empty now
slipped into the general stream become
part of the genetic soup and Squeaky
they let her go poor defenseless queen
of Charlie's penis back when it still worked
nobody else got to fuck Squeaky
just Charlie
At the beginning
he thought they were
Adam and Eve
When he crosses over
they will all be there his movie
will never really be over
say hey to steve parent for me
would you charlie
he was just trying to
hook up in a hard homophobic
time and like Leno and Rosemary
who knows how this came to be
the wrong place
the wrong time
the wrong head
on Charlie

Wonderful rhythm and very interesting imagery. The Manson family has always fascinated me. Nothing quite like lost, disturbed people gathering in one place. It seems like such a shame.
